Quick Reads #10 - Last Few Regrets

When you are old, you will look back and think about all the times you had an opportunity but you didn't take it. You will remember the times when instead of doing something productive, you kept on scrolling through Instagram for hours. You will remember when you had time, but all you wanted was to be comfortable and not leave your comfort zone. You will feel regret. You will remember the times when you were a kid, you wanted to do so much and now, as you're old, all you want is more time.
Regret is feeling sad or disappointed over something you could've done but didn't do or something you wanted to do but failed to. You will feel guilty over not taking any action. You will look back and wonder how different things could've been different if only you took some action when you had time.

You will regret not loving the people when they were still there with you. You will regret not being a perfect role model for your child. You will regret spending the time you had stressing over work instead of quitting and following what you enjoy. You will regret taking everything so personally, when instead of doing that, you could've enjoyed your time. You will regret not taking the risk just to make others happy and most of all, you will regret not doing more.

You would wish you were true to yourself.
But wait, you have both time and energy right now. Right now you can either waste your whole life doubting yourself or you can finally start changing your life. Maybe you will finally be the person you wanted to be, the person who, your child-self, would see as a hero.

When you are old, you will look back, and think about the time someone gave you the opportunity but you were too scared to take it. You will feel regret.
